Freshwater Diatomaceous Earth
 
Diatomaceous Earth is made from the fossilized remains of tiny, aquatic organisms - diatoms. Their skeletons are made of a natural substance called silica which when mined from the river and ocean beds, can be used both medicinally (food grade only) as well as cosmetically.
 
When used in face masks, its high silica content has the ability to form collagen and to firm and repair the skin. It also helps boost collagen and helps to prevent wrinkles.
